My car takes more care to start on frosty winter mornings.

Half an hour before I'm due to leave I start the engine warming up the oil,

Spray the windows twice the de-icer from the boots. And even then I have to press the pedals more carefully when I move

I could have scraped the ice quick, got inside and driven straight away.

I'd likely make out the first road but crash onto the motorway.

Then spend the day hard shoulders that for roadside recovery.

Probably best just to do these things properly...
