"It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities." - Albus Dumbledore (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets)
According to this article by the Huffington Post, I quote that the average working adult makes about 12 decisions before the 9:00 am hour. Obviously, this number varies on an individual basis, but a study by Cornell University, states that an adult makes about 70+- decisions a day. Once one opens his/her eyes, the 1st decisions made are; to snooze or not to snooze, what side of the bed to roll off of, what will I wear today, and maybe, will I go to work? It’s part of our natural human behavior to make conscious and subconscious decisions on a daily basis. Some of which have short term effects and others with long term outcomes; should I stay in this job, this relationship, this geography?
A baffling number of decisions define how we go through each day in life. Just like a series of choices culminate to the day you make those decisions. Each one of those choices can be scary, difficult and confusing. If it matters, it will be. When it gets harder, know that you are making progress.
While walking through a mall, I encountered a wall that said "before I die..." and allowed you to define your own words to finish the sentence. This made me reflect upon my decisions. The choices that defined where I am, what I am doing, where I will be in future. One thing I am certain of is that we define our decisions, but not the other way round. I have come a long way. I have a long way to go. I am proud of my choices.

PS - Guess what I wrote on the wall? :)
